Project update

  • Latest News - 3rd April 2010

Our proposal is now complete and submitted to the Football Foundation it will be reviewed at the June 2010 meeting if we are successful then we will knock down and rebuild our changing rooms and clubhouse commencing in July meaning we may need to grounshare for a few weeks into the 2010-11 season as the build time remain at three months minimum.

The other development installing seven pitches adjasent to our senior pitch for use by our ever expanding Junior section would commence in the Summer of 2010 to allow the pitches to bed for a year to allow the Juniors to start using them for the 2011-12 Season.

So far todate our development fund has raised over £90,000 towards the development. Our commited investment level currently sits at £48,000 on reports and preparation.

Director of Football Tony Gale, who is overseeing the entire project comments " This is so key to the future of Walton Casuals Football club and has been 4 years in planning, the fact we have invested so much money without a brick being laid is testiment to our commitment to this project, the entire team involved are confident we will get the level of funding required to ensure this project takes place "
