Monday 13th October - CASUALS 1 Corinthian Casuals 3
Corinthian Casuals gained just thier second win of the season, and they were good value for it, as once again we struggled to create anything in front of goal. Harris did make an excellent one handed save from Tyson's close range header on 12 minutes. Hunt headed the visitors in front without a Casuals shirt within 10 yards. The lead was then doubled when Jelly's shot was deflected past Craig Bradshaw.
We made two changes at the break sacrificing debutant Dwaynne Williams who signed from Northwood and Sonny Farr and introducing Jamel Carr and Chris Kiganda. But Casuals extended the lead when a quick break down the right hand side was finished off by Nwoko. Ben Stack (above) was gifted our consulation goal on 83 minutes when his long range effort was fumbled by Harris.
All attention now switches to Saturday when we entertain Heybridge Swifts in the FA Trophy , and the management will be expecting a much improved all round performance.
